For the fifth year in a row, June is festival season in The Hague. So The Hague is the best place to be in the nicest month of the year. From 1 to 26 June, The Hague Festivals will be taking over The Hague. The well-known events during this festival season are Den Haag Sculptuur (The Hague Sculpture), Vlaggetjesdag, ShoppingNight, The Hague Jazz, Festival Classique, Nederlandse Veteranendag (Dutch Veterans’ Day) and Parkpop.
Once again, in 2011, The Hague Festivals will be teaming up with charity War Child. Unlike last year, this collaboration is not part of The Hague War Child City, but an initiative of The Hague Festivals. War Child is an independent relief organisation that invests in a peaceful future for children affected by war. Using a creative and participative approach, War Child helps children work through their war experiences.
The Hague Festivals are organized by Den Haag Marketing, an umbrella organization responsible for marketing and promoting the city of The Hague and its two seaside resorts Scheveningen and Kijkduin.
