Boekids Literair Jeugdfestival

The Boekids Festival will be celebrating its tenth anniversary on the 4th and 5th of June 2011. For the first time this year, the festival will take place in early summer during The Hague Festivals!

Festival Boekids is the perfect youth festival that combines literature with other art forms in a unique manner. A festival full of stories, authors, artists, illustrators, films, workshops, multimedia and visual art.

The Boekids Foundation aims to bring as many children as possible from different sections of the population into contact with children’s books and allow people to experience how valuable reading is. At the Boekids Festival you are able to really experience books. The aim of the festival is to experience and share stories and to put across your own ideas and imagination. A unique feature of Boekids 2011 is its own music theatre production, entitled African Feathers – an incredible journey with music and dance.  This includes a special contribution by singer Sabrina Starke.
