Jazz'in de Gracht

Jazz'in de Gracht logo

During the fifth edition of the unique and entertaining Jazz’in de Gracht festival, the public can enjoy the music of countless artists who will pass by the canal quaysides in The Hague on characteristic, flat bottom boats.

From Jazz to funk

Jazz’in de gracht, a free festival, takes place on the beautiful Bierkade and Dunne Bierkadean, the so-called ‘Avenue Culinaire’. Jazz, in the broadest sense of the word, forms the basis of the festival and the music ranges from jazz to funk, from blues to rock and includes both western and eastern influences. Jazz’in de Gracht is not just for the real jazz enthusiast but also intended for a much broader audience.

Artists per boat

What makes Jazz’in de Gracht particularly special is that the audience can stay right where they are as the stages, and the artists, come to them. On Saturday, the boats stop at four ‘boat stops’ for a 20 minute concert. The stops are located by the restaurants Afasika and Serengeti, between the cafés Paas and Pakschuit and at M-restaurant. As soon as a boat leaves from a stop, another one comes along to fill the space. On Friday there are three stops. On both days, the canals will be swinging to jazz and other, related music and a lovely market!

Come to de Jazz’in de Gracht, come to The Hague Festivals!
