Dutch hiphop-act Fakkelbrigade to complete PopHotSpot lineup
The absence of Echo and Moke has been covered!

After the cancelations of Echo & The Bunnymen and Moke for their PopHotSpot gigs on the 26 of june the organisation is glad to announce that new acts for this date have been booked! With the recent addition of Dutch hiphop-sensation Fakkelbrigade the lineup has been completed. Fakkelbrigade will open for ‘Belgium’s most sexy couple’ Vive La Fête on Friday june 26. The concert / festival series at the PopHotSpot in the centre of The Hague starts at Friday June 12 continues until Saturday June 27 and will feature artists from the likes of Vive La Fête, Fakkelbrigade, The Opposites, Kraak & Smaak, Lady Linn, Def P & The Beatbusters, Antwerp Gipsy Ska Orchestra, New Sound Sistim, Nomy Rosenberg, Kraak & Smaak, Mala Vita, Benjamin Rhodes en Danakil. All shows are in open air and free to visit.

Fakkelbrigade
Few years ago a phenomenon stormed the Dutch concert- and festivalstages, called ‘Opgezwolle’. A NL hiphop-formation based in the city of Zwolle. After one of its core-members, Delic, decided it was time for a trip around the world, Opgezwolle decided to quit. But that was then, and this is the now; former Opgezwolle-members Typhoon, Sanders, James, A.R.T., Rico and Sticks have again joined forces for a heroic hiphop-adventure. The release of their debut album, called ‘Colucci Era’, tells it all and the media already have labeled the team up as one of the most promising acts of this year. After a booming performance in a sold out Amsterdam Paradiso, Fakkelbrigade are sure to present you a déjà vu of that night on the The Hague PopHotSpot!
 
The PopHotSpot; free music for happy people!
Introduced via a collaboration between music venue Paard van Troje and Grote Markt Events, The PopHotSpot is the place to be for some top quality music during The Hague Festivals. Get to see young, up and coming bands and big names in music perform live on stage at the Grote Markt. Coordinated for the third time this year, the PopHotSpot-stage brings you FREE outdoor music from all kinds of genre; pop meets rock, hiphop meets latin, jazz meets singer songwriter. And for the filmfans the Shoot Me Film Festival will present some unique movies.

Everyone who lives in The Hague knows that the Grote Markt is the place where the locals hang out. Located in the city centre and easily accessible by public transport the PopHotSpot stage at the Grote Markt is where you’ll find this year’s summer breeze of live music and a great laid-back atmosphere.
