Preview The Hague African Festival

The Hague African Festival is one of The Hague’s flagship cultural events. This atmospheric festival, now in its third year, opens on 5 June 2011 at the Culturalis Theatre. There will be food tasting, and music from the Hague/Congolese band Wasifu and several DJs.
 
The Hague African Festival proper takes place on 3 July 2011 in the Zuiderpark. Artists performing there will include: SMOD (Mali, hip hop, their new album was produced by Manu Chao), Bombino (Niger, Sahara blues) and the legendary Geoffrey Oryema (Uganda, singer/songwriter, known for his collaboration with Peter Gabriel).
