From 6 to 20 June, an unmissable international exhibition will be held on the banks of the Hofvijver. Streets of the World is a photographic project by Dutch photojournalist Jeroen Swolfs. Over the course of five years, he is visiting every capital city in the world, to capture street life in each one. With this selection of photos, he wants to create a portrait of humanity in the early 21st century. Jeroen Swolfs has been travelling for a year and a half now, and has almost finished photographing the continent of Asia.
Asia
The Streets of the World exhibition will be showing a selection of the 20 best street photos from Asia and revealing what lurks behind them. Are people in the streets of Pyongyang, Beirut or Funafuti really so different from us, or are there more similarities than differences? How are these cities developing, and in 10 years’ time will they look the same, or will they have changed beyond recognition? These are the questions that Jeroen Swolfs is trying to answer.
Come to Streets of the World, come to The Hague Festivals!
