Europe’s fastest growing jazz festival is approaching again and, this year, The Hague Jazz will take place as part of The Hague Festivals for the first time and will be celebrating its fifth anniversary! Take part in a musical journey through the diverse range of national and international artists, take a look at the bazaar and allow yourself to be surprised by the exhibitions and live-art. The Hague Jazz will titillate your senses!
Four celebratory events
The Hague Jazz comprises four celebratory events: 9 June Warming Up (free concerts in The Hague), 10 June Special Concert with Michael Bolton & Metropole Orchestra and 11 and 12 June the Festival days. Other well-known acts performing during The Hague Jazz festival 2010 include Toots Thielemans, Candy Dulfer, Kraak & Smaak, Wallace Roney & Metropole Orchestra under the leadership of Maria Sneider and, as top final act; Kool & The Gang!
Intimacy and musical diversity
The most important characteristics of The Hague Jazz festival are colour, intimacy and, above all, enormous musical diversity. The intimate atmosphere at the festival is partly created as a result of the many colours used. This is reflected in The Hague Jazz’s logo. Each and every light at the festival location is covered with a warm colour filter and intimacy is emphasised as a result of decorating the festival location (World Forum The Hague) with cosy, corners and warm colours.
Don’t jazzytate, be there!
