The Zenith Festival is an international, classical cross-over festival. Pop, jazz, world music and film, each incorporated into a riotous cross-over with classical chamber music.
From 24 to 27 June, you can familiarise yourself with the most challenging and wayward musical cross-overs at locations such as the PopHotSpot, het Paard van Troje and the Pulchri Studio.
Wouter Hamel
From classical strings to Miles Davis, via the Vito Brothers with film, jazz combo and string quartet. The Zenith Festival opens on Sundays 20th June, from 1 pm to evening at the PopHotSpot on the Grote Markt. Wouter Hamel kicks it all off and the evening is completely free.
Contemporary music
On Friday evening, died-in-the-wool classical enthusiasts can revel in Spanilicious and Strictly Strings and, on Saturday, the little ones can lose themselves in a fairy tale puppet performance. Never been to a classical concert before? Then this is your chance! Not incomprehensible music but music by contemporary artists. Open your mind!
Tickets can be ordered from the end of April via www.zenithfestival.com.
